We reached a major milestone in sangria history last week.
Tuesday, May 20th we bottled our first official samples. It felt as though we were waiting for a baby to be born. We patiently paced back and forth as the bottling line was prepped and our formula was blended. Finally when it was time the sweet aroma of sangria flowed throughout the bottling room as the line came to life and bottles began to fill.
To share this excitement we’ve posted some pictures below. I hope you enjoy them and can feel the same excitement we are experiencing.
I can’t thank everyone enough for their support & encouragement over the last few months. It has motivated our team to keep pushing forward.
With our samples in hand we now need to make retailers and distributors as excited about the product as you are. If you know any retailers or distributors who you think would be good candidates for carrying our product please let us know. We need all the help we can get in building our network.
- The empty sangria bottles enter the filling station
- Sangria bottles line up to be filled
- Our first bottle
- Capsule is placed onto bottle
- Here is the first bottle making its way to the end of the line
- Here is another angle of the sangria going into the bottles
We want to hear from you. Please leave us a comment below…

This is great news, it’s another sign that Senor Sangria will be attending our wedding! Can’t wait to see this on the shelf of my corner store…

Congrats! By the way May 20th was Trini’s Bday so you couldn’t have picked a finer day. Everyone that came to Derek’s party was raving about the Sangria. We wish you all the best! Look into Total Wine in Hackensack. They keep prices pretty low and draw heavy foot traffic. You should also look at Shoppers Vineyard in Clifton.

I am excited for you, it is wonderful to see your dreams coming to fruition.
Sangria is my passion! I have lived in Madrid Spain and sangria is like the nectar that runs through their veins! I currently live in Arizona and there is definitely a market for your product here. It is a summer staple and we’re “HOT” all year round. Try the Trader Joe Stores, AJ’s Fine foods, they have their collection of wines… Lots of Spanish inspired restaurants out here. Best of luck. I can hardly wait!
May 30th, 2008 at 7:53 am
Congratulations to you both – the sangria is awesome!!
May 30th, 2008 at 11:26 am
Rick! It’s great to see the progress you’ve made since we last talked. I’m sure seeing the first bottle come off the line was a wonderful feeling. The wife and I just purchased a new sangria service set, so we’re looking forward to getting into a bottle of Senor Sangria. As Deborah E stated, there’s a huge potential market out here in AZ and probably in the Southwest in general. Good luck and keep us posted.

So happy to hear about all the progress that’s been made in getting Senor Sangria launched.
God knows there’s a frustrating shortage of sangrias in U.S. markets and the debut of your product will, I’m confident, do much to introduce Americans to “the sangria experience” and, I expect, convert many, many of them into genuine sangria lovers!
June 1st, 2008 at 10:12 am
It’s awesome to know someone that follows through with thir dream, Rick! I can’t wait to tout your Sangria out in PA this summer! Actually, you’ll be putting added pressure to speed the climb up the learning curve of my new smoker! I want to do your Sangria justice! I’ll be tinkering with spice blends, and hope to come up with the perfect compliment to post! Also, my local liquor store can’t wait to try it. They are sangria fanatics!
