Live, Love, Sangria!
Follow our story as we start a business using our home sangria recipe...

Due to popular demand for Senor Sangria, we are thrilled to report that we have outgrown our Pathfinder and have upgraded to a new delivery van. Many calculations and trial runs had revealed that the Pathfinder could hold a maximum of 35 cases. Consequently, we were making multiple pickups and deliveries every day (and there are only so many back roads one can take to avoid traffic in New Jersey). When fully loaded, the weight in the back pushed the front in the air at a rather odd angle, which was quite amusing. We have to admit we got a kick out of the attention and confusion we received as we rode up – riding the rear axle – in the Pathfinder and removed case after case of sangria. All that being said, it was time for a change (and we had earned it).

Even though we don’t have any artwork on the van just yet, we were eager to utilize our new investment. It was a good decision, because having the new van along with a heavy duty hand truck increased our productivity ten-fold! We are using the delivery van 1-2 times a week. Our goal is to continue increasing volume enough to have the van on the street 5 days a week. Honoring tradition, I have already christened the van with a breakage of Senor Sangria bottles. I can now say with confidence that our bottles don’t bounce.

I am still doing all the deliveries myself. To free up some of my time we have begun the search for a part-time driver, which we hope to become full-time by the end of the year. I will definitely miss making the deliveries face-to-face, but adding employees to Senor Sangria only means we are succeeding in promoting and growing our company.
